Fundraising

Each year, Chickering families generously donate to fund the PTO programs. The Fundraising committee has streamlined the number of solicitations to:

• Easy $ for Chickering
  Money for Chickering is sitting in your cabinets and in your trash can. Several companies offer incentive programs for collecting products, like Box Tops for Education. Others give Chickering a percentage of sales. Click here for more details.

Innisbrook Gift Wrap.  For many years, Dover PTO partnered with Innisbrook to provide Chickering families the opportunity to buy premium gift wrap while supporting our school.  Although we are not running a formal Innisbrook fundraising campaign this year, Chickering families can purchase the gift wrap they have grown to love - online.  As always, 50% of product sales will go back to Chickering.  Click here to start ordering! 

• Product sales
  In 2008-09, our product sales will support our celebration of pride in our school and in our students.  We will introduce:

• Original Works, an art-based fundraiser that will celebrate our children's creativity by turning their artwork into products the family can wear or share.
• Spirit Wear, including Chickering tee shirts, sweatshirts, raglans and flannel PJ bottoms.

• A visit from the Harlem Wizards!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 15, 2008.  At 1PM, the high school gymnasium will be transformed with twirls, swirls and spinning balls.  The Harlem Wizards will play basketball against teachers, parents and community members in a fundraiser to support our school.

• Check writing campaign
  For 2008-09, our annual check writing campaign will focus on keeping Chickering state-of-the-art.  A plan is being crafted to address technology needs in all of the classrooms.  Our campaign will reach out to families to help fund this very important need.
• Spring event
  We are looking forward to a fun, casual couples evening with food, music and celebration.  Date TBD.  There are lots of opportunities for participation, so email fundraising@DoverPTO.org. 

As the Dover PTO is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization, contributions (in excess of the fair market value of the goods or services received in return) are tax deductible.  Donation receipts indicating our taxpayer ID number will be provided in circumstances where a tax deduction may be claimed.
