Throughout the 2009-10 school year, the Dover PTO will celebrate Make a Difference!, taking a cue from the school's mission statement "Chickering School is a place where children learn, laugh, grow, care and make a difference."

As the PTO, we want to make a difference in the lives of our children, their school and our community.  We will accomplish this through:

• Providing over $30K in aid to teachers in the classroom
• Sponsoring over $30K in enrichment programs
• Planning social gatherings, such as Family Picnics, Dads and Donuts, and Family Fun Night
• Hosting staff and teacher appreciation events
• Participating more visibly in town events, such as Dover Days
• Fostering school spirit with the sale of apparel featuring our new Chickering logo
• Engaging in community service projects to benefit Boston Public Schools and Haiti
• Raising funds to support programs through a gift wrap sale and major Spring Auction (April 10, 2010)
