GET INVOLVED

Volunteer with Dover PTO

Volunteers help bring many Chickering and PTO programs, events, and activities to life throughout the year.

There are lots of ways to get involved, and volunteering doesn’t have to mean making a big or ongoing commitment. Opportunities range from helping at a single event or with a short project to volunteering regularly, joining a committee, or taking on a larger role.

Whether you want to help once in a while or be more involved throughout the year, there are options for different schedules and levels of commitment.

Ways to Volunteer

Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the school year and may include:

  • Helping with PTO and school community events

  • Volunteering in the library or lunchroom

  • Supporting classroom activities

  • Helping with curriculum enrichment programs

  • Serving as a Room Parent

  • Assisting with drives, fundraisers, or special projects

  • Joining a PTO committee or helping behind the scenes

  • Taking on a recurring volunteer or leadership role

More Ways to Support

Volunteering is just one way to support our school community. Our Dover PTO Giving Guide provides an overview of the different ways families can give their time, participate, shop and support, or contribute directly to the PTO.

Every family’s schedule looks different, and there is no one way to be involved. Watch ParentSquare and the Weekly NewsBlast for current volunteer needs, or contact our Volunteer Services Chair at volunteers@doverpto.org with questions or to learn more.
